The influence of that run cannot be understated, as it can be felt on everything from films like "Batman" and "The Dark Knight, " television series such as the beloved "Batman: The Animated Series, " and of course decades of Batman comics that followed. In addition to the included "Strange Apparitions" stories, this book also includes the entirety of the "Dark Detective" miniseries, the sequel to "Strange Apparitions" released decades later - another strong influence on Chris Nolan's "The Dark Knight, " featuring a conflict between the Joker and Two-Face after Joker decides to run for office, with Silver St. Cloud caught in the crossfire. Then there's the full graphic novel-length 5-part story "Siege, " also featuring Silver St. Cloud's return, with writing by the legendary Archie Goodwin.
